At nightime we usually found ourselves wandering through the infamous
Red Light District.

I'll take the one on the left...

You'd be amazed how many guys actually haggle for women. Not to mention
how many women are actually guys. Yeech.

Quite a great city to be out at night in.

Our last day in Amsterdam, we made the requisite cathedral visit..

And went by the Cafe Del Mondo again, where we bought some ... coffee...
our first night in town..

We also made stops at the Van Gogh Museum and the Rembrandthuis.
Here's a watercolor by one of Rembrandt's students that Carl particularly
liked.

While Faith and I were out getting cultured at the museums, Space Monkey
stayed in the coffeehouses and got smashed. We had some differences of
opinion as to what was best to do while in Amsterdam. He was being a bit of
a prick.

At any rate, the next part of the plan involved getting ourselves to Praque and
then Berlin. But since flooding in Eastern Germany was still a problem at the time,
we weren't able to go directly to Praque from Amsterdam. So we figured we'd get
ourselves in the general area and boarded an overnight train to Vienna, Austria.

Which we almost missed because we somehow got all messed up and nearly went
to the wrong track. Not sure how that happened...
