One can almost hear the lazy accordian music ... smell the
baking croissants ...

... and see the demonic visage of treacherous imp as it wards away the evil
spirits that have come to torment our minds and swallow our souls. Ahhh, gay Pari.

I thought these guys were pretty cool. Some vomiting reptillian gargoyle and
this goofy Gabriel angel
.

We also got to climb up into the largely wooden bell towers. That'd have to be one
hell of a hunchback to move these damn things.

This dragon guy was way cool.

A look down from the south bell tower.

And a look back at the river over the rear of the church.

Carl's getting a bit ... fuzzy by this point in the trip.

Eventually we tossed a few stone rabbits to these stone guardians
and made our way back down.

Then we walked around the back of Notre Dame, to it's little-
seen but still gorgeous backside. Our Lady got back!

I was 99% sure this guy was going to jet with our camera. Maybe I've just
seen National Lampoons one too many times...

This cool shot of the side shows another no-often-seen angle of the church.

So after paying homage to the great Charlemagne, we moved on.

On to McDonald's, that is. Carl looks like he won't be able to eat another fry as
long as he lives. Faith's not having much of a problem, though
.
