The
hills are alive. Ahem. With the Sound of Music, that is.
One of Salzburg's claims to fame is it's where the film was
made. Here's that fountain that was so prominantly featured
in the movie. (Yeah, I had no idea either. Just go along with it.)
But the nearby Dom, or cathedral, was quite awesome.

At he base of the fortress is the Old Town, full
of markets,
churches and gardens.
And
in the actual hillside are old Christian catacombs.
This
altar room was nearly pitch dark.. the only illumination was my flash.
